In 1985 Mike was the co-inventor of the kneeboard hydrofoil. After selling the design to a major manufacturer, he was not allowed to ride it because of the signed contract. The product never made it to market, and the desire to ride a new kind of foil led to the development of the Air Chair in 1989. Seattle, WA. 1986.
